About Us
DOUG AND I FIRST MET IN 1965 AT A CATTLE SALE IN WANDOAN.
Marrying in 1969 and working for Doug’s parents until 1973, we as third generation Bradshaws took over Red Range. Our passion has been and will always be breeding highly functional, maternal, fertile, and top quality carcass cattle.

Harry Bradshaw, Doug’s father, imported the first Simmental semen into the Taroom shire in 1973 and there began our love and passion for Simmentals.

Over the years we have expanded our operations and enterprises, but have now down-sized to concentrate on our commercial herd and stud operation. Our commercial herd of 800 breeders were all pure Simmentals until 2006 when we sold them all because of ongoing drought - a very sad day for us both. But the passion lives on and we now have bred-up from bought cows; mainly white Brahman’s, a few Droughtmasters, and other breeds. We are now in 2015 and are proud to say we have pure Simmental calves on the ground again. And what magnificent specimens they are. Thanks to our very own produced Blue Dog Stud bulls.
Our vision is to do for other commercial breeders what our very own breed Blue Dog bulls have done for us in our commercial operation.
